Catching up on professional reading can be time consuming, so while I’m getting to this one a bit late, I thought it’d be better now than never. There’s a good post over at Book Patrol about The Montgomery Story, a 16 page comic published in 1957. The comic sketched out the events surrounding the Montgomery Bus Boycott, and also provided a brief guide to the principles and techniques of nonviolent resistance.
Book Patrol goes on to write about the impact of the comic, on historic events, such as the Woolworth’s sit-ins, and its continued relevance in the world today.
The comic is available in its entirety as a .PDF from Stanford University.
